Designed curriculum for and instructed students in reading, writing, grammar, spelling and vocabulary. Planned and analyzed data as part of a team through the PLC process. Sponsored an after school reading program aimed at strong female characters in young adults literature for students in grades six through eight, serving 25 at-risk female students. Planned and conducted department meetings in order to foster the PLC process and maintain vertical alignment of literacy skills. Coordinated and liaised with building and district administration to share data and plan meaningful professional development.
