Construction

I was responsible for the administrative leadership of the Legal and Corporate Responsibility Services departments’ business operations and systems. Align the focus of the departments’ strategic service goals with the strategic goals cascaded by both the local organization and the national system. Coordinate and direct work flows, systems, and projects within a strategic framework to achieve desired results. Design and manage the implementation of the departments’ communications, reports, dashboards, and metrics to achieve service level goals and evidence each areas’ performance. Accountable for budget development, resource procurement and financial performance. Instill the culture of the organization through performance analysis, organizational development strategies and purposeful staffing models. Oversight of project and document management systems, and webpage development for the departments.

I was responsible for Supply Chain Management/Distribution, Sterile Processing and Transportation of materials and patients system-wide. Oversight of 67 FTEs, managed $4.2 million operating budget and $1 million in inventory. * Analyzed warehouse inventory quantities, standardized products, adjusted par levels and eliminated obsolete items to save over $150,000 and increased turns by 70%. * Led cross-functional team for corporate non-clinical value analysis initiative, standardizing products and services to successfully achieve $2.1 million in cost savings over six years.* Identified and resolved supply billing errors during audit, post-conversion to electronic medical record system; and developed a process that resulted in the reclamation of $120,000 in the first year.

I had oversight of non-clinical support services including Supply Chain/Distribution, Telecommunications, Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Linen, Transportation, Operations Support, Print & Mail Services and the hospital capital budget.* Prepared and manage the operating and capital budgets, and department goals for all areas to ensure consistent operations in support of corporate strategy and objectives, mission and long-term vision.* Key team member of Master Facility Planning committee, providing recommendations that contributed to innovative options for building improvements and expansion.* Planned and coordinated the opening of a newly constructed 85,000 sq. ft. outpatient center. * Managed project to facilitate patient care services during construction of new 110,000 sq. ft., five inpatient unit bed tower. Ensured continuous operations with no service interruption and high patient satisfaction scores.
