I am representing Simcoe County Roads Supervisors Association.

Reporting to the Director of Public Works, this position directs the work of the Roads and Fleets divisions to ensure maintenance and construction activities are effectively conducted in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures compliance with applicable legislation and Town policies and protection of public health and safety.Directs and monitors the activities of the Roads Supervisor and Fleet Supervisor.Ensure that all staff have received required operational training. Researches and develops Roads Division policies and programs.Assists with the preparation of Roads and Fleet divisions budgets including a five (5) year capital forecast. Monitors division expenditures to ensure compliance with the approved budget. Processes all billings, invoices, accounts and insurance claims for Roads and Fleet divisions.Prepares tenders, Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quotation.Ensures that all data, reports and permits required by legislation are prepared and issued.Prepares reports for the Director of Public Works including but not limited to daily operational reports and reports to Council. Makes recommendations to the Director of Public Works on various roads maintenance matters.Reviews the design of extensions or modifications to systems including review of all Engineering reports, drawings and specifications, cost estimates and applications. Recommends any revisions. Directs site work performed by own staff, contractors or hired personnel. Co-ordinates the activities for construction projects.Aid in the development of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Road Patrol systems, and Vehicle GPS. Receives and takes appropriate action on all inquiries and complaints from the general public dealing with roads issues in the municipality ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.Conducts regular inspections of infrastructure systems to ensure the systems are maintained at the desired level of quality.

Collaborated in the production of a new Right of Way Activity Permit system.
