Ballerina turned Neuroscientist, using my technical background to analyze and elevate leadership in the Biopharma Healthcare space.Experienced in a wide variety of neurophysiological, biological, and molecular techniques. I thoroughly enjoy solving interesting and challenging problems. I'm skilled in data analysis and visualization, in vivo electrophysiology and optogenetics, microscopy and developing novel behavioral assays.My most recent work focused on determining what types of information are encoded by neurons in a brain region called the caudal ventrolateral periaqueductal gray (vlPAG) and developing a new microcircuit model to describe how that information could be used to initiate a fear response. I challenged the canonical role for the vlPAG in fear, and developed a variety of tools to reveal that this brain region is far more complex than previously thought.I'm motivated by fast-paced work that allows me to make the world a better place in a meaningful and concrete way. I love asking questions and looking for answers in unexpected places.
