As lead consultant / project manager I was responsible for the initial implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) to replace several legacy business systems for various construction companies in the Ballast Nedam holding. Reporting to IT Manager Business Systems.Accomplishments:- Business process mapping, fit/gap analysis and solution architecture- Project and resource planning for a mixed internal / contractor team of consultants- Data migration and optimisation from legacy systems to Dynamics AX- Managing user acceptance testing, operating procedures, improvements- User training, application and incident management

As IT manager I was responsible for IT strategy, ICT infrastructure, systems management and information technology. Managing a small team (1 FTE) I was able to successfully improve overall IT quality, operating procedures and support the internal IT organisation. To satisfy my professional curiosity and experience what it's like to run my own business, I started an IT company. Delivering managed network support, IT consultancy and selling network equipment I was able to quickly build a healthy business, delivering services to small and mid size companies.I finally decided to sell the company and return to employment.
