CurrentOUR MISSION: Inspired by nature, Wild Gift empowers leading social entrepreneurs ages 21 - 35 in their quest to create innovative solutions for today’s global challenges. OUR PROGRAM:Through a unique 16-month program that combines the dynamic experience of wilderness immersion with mentoring, financial and networking tools, Wild Gift provides critical support to help young leaders turn their visionary ideas into action. The end result is the launch of self-designed social ventures that are "systems-changing", sustainable, replicable and positioned to create a better world.OUR ACHIEVEMENTS:Since the inception of the project component of its program in 2004, Wild Gift has supported 43 unique entrepreneurial ‘better world’ projects in the areas of education, sustainable agriculture, affordable housing, energy efficiency and innovation, community development, public policy and wildland conservation and stewardship. The projects benefit local economies, the natural environment, and the lives of thousands of people in 10 countries on 4 continents (including Haiti, Canada, Nigeria, Kenya, West Africa, Chile, India, Samoa, Nepal) and 17 states. Twenty three of these projects are ongoing, fourteen Wild Gift fellow have expanded their work into bigger projects, and four have returned to advance their education.
