About Katherine Necochea Tinco, Ed.M.
I'm an interdisciplinary researcher focused on literacy development, digital learning and inclusive education. I bring over 7 years of experience conducting research and consulting across multiple industries. Currently, I conduct evaluative qualitative and quantitative education research at SRI International. Through Berkeley SkyDeck's entrepreneurship accelerator program, I explored using AI technology to enhance digital learning experiences for multilingual students and families. This provided hands-on experience designing research protocols, validating needs, and prototyping solutions as part of an interdisciplinary team.My background brings a unique lived perspective as a multilingual learner and first-generation immigrant. I aim to create accessible resources that bridge gaps often faced by underrepresented communities. With experience across the research process from literature reviews to dissemination, my work centers on topics like digital learning, multilingual education, family engagement, and teacher quality and inclusiveness. As a proud Peruvian-American, hard work and resourcefulness are core values. I'm always seeking opportunities to continue learning, connecting with others, and exchanging advice. Feel free to reach out - I enjoy collaborating to advance inclusive education through research and practice.
