As a co-Principal Investigator on a research project supported by a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, I was directly responsible for leading conceptual research on how to measure and quantify the factors that support sustainable development in the Arctic zone; analyzing data to develop new conceptual frameworks to generate evidence that can influence policy; managing internal research projects with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; writing a diversity of research reports and academic articles; collecting and analyzing information from a wide variety of sources; monitoring relevant material from conferences and seminars, government and intergovernmental documents, academic journals, institutional databases, relevant civil society organisations and NGOs; attending international conferences and seminars. Projects:2016 - 2018 - Comprehensive assessment of accumulated environmental damage and sustainable development in the Arctic zone: methodological principles, pilot projects selection and scientific rationale for eliminating actions. 2013 - 2015 - Sustainable business and community development in indigenous regions of North Russia.
