Plane is a payroll, benefits, and compliance platform built for fast-growing companies. As the project leader at Plane, I oversee a dedicated team of a few members tasked with the responsibility of developing our payroll system.We are currently enhancing both the architecture and data model to better meet the complex requirements of U.S. payroll regulations. Moreover, we are expanding our product’s capabilities to include international contractor payments, as well as payroll services for both U.S. and international employees. This ambitious project is aimed at creating the first truly all-in-one payroll solution in the HR industry.

At Ada, the AI assistant dedicated to the real estate industry, I embraced a variety of roles. Supported by venture capital funding, my responsibilities included developing the initial MVP with Ruby on Rails and designing the company's big-data infrastructure.Beyond these tasks, I led initiatives in machine learning, particularly in implementing neural networks for computer vision and time-series forecasting using TensorFlow. I also recruited and managed a fully remote development team of eight, a setup that has been in place since the company was established in 2018.

I collaborated with high-profile clients including the City of Warsaw, BIHAPI, TechSoup Polska, Monterail, and Pilot. During that same timeframe, I authored my book, "Writing Great Specifications."Writing Great Specifications is an example-rich tutorial that teaches you how to write good Gherkin specification documents that take advantage of the benefits of specification by example. It teaches you how to capture executable software designs in Gherkin following the SBE method. Written for both developers and non-technical team members, this practical book starts with collecting individual feature stories and organizing them into a full, testable spec. You'll learn to choose the best scenarios, write them in a way that anyone can understand, and ensure they can be easily updated by anyone in management. Manning Publications is a major American publisher established by Lee Fitzpatrick and Marjan Bace that publishes books on computer technology topics, with a particular focus on web development.

At Monterail, a cutting-edge software development firm catering to both startups and established enterprises, I initially joined the ranks as an engineer. In that role, my duties spanned a wide array of tasks—from designing and building new web applications to maintaining and troubleshooting existing ones. I also connected these applications to additional web servers and managed APIs.After a year with the company, I transitioned into a product management role, where I led two distinct teams, each comprised of 5 to 10 people. During my tenure at Monterail, the software I helped to build served a diverse clientele: companies that had been accelerated by 500 Startups; a major player in the fields of healthcare and life science; a trailblazer in the development of low-latency networking and application acceleration, which was later acquired for approximately $7 billion; and a firm specialized in business process provision and integration.

At Typify, a social app designed to fuel sports discussions and facilitate friendly betting among users, my role was multifaceted. I was primarily responsible for developing the back-end components of the platform. Alongside this, I executed comprehensive testing to ensure the system's reliability and performance. In addition, I integrated the user interface elements crafted by our front-end team to ensure a seamless user experience.

At Dashboard, a platform designed to aggregate content from various social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm, I had a diverse set of responsibilities. The aim of the platform was to allow users to unify their disparate online profiles into a single web identity.My role involved writing and maintaining the codebase, tackling bug fixes to ensure optimal performance, and closely monitoring the technical health of our internal systems.
