I've been teaching since 1996 in public education as a history teacher, ESL Teacher, Language Arts Instruction, and I helped start the first Service-learning program in Pomona Unified school district. I started teaching at Cal Poly Pomona in 2011. I teach classes in the Ethnic Studies and Education departments. I’m also the leader of Cal Poly Pomona’s “Teacher Academy” program that advocates for high school students to consider the education profession. In 2003 I founded a 501c3 non profit organization called "What in the World Are You Doing" (WWD). The org. is now called “Impact Earth”. The goals are now centered around promoting positive stories of people and organizations who Impact Earth. I have a passion for inspiring people how together we can make a difference.
