Teaching Assistant for EMAE 282 a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Lab I. Conducting lab sessions for 30 students throughout the semester on scientific techniques and experiments including three point bending, measurement techniques, statistical analysis, and thermocouple usage.

Researching with the Oil Free Turbomachinery group in the RXT Tribology Branch. Research includes hydrodynamic gas lubricated bump foil journal and thrust bearing testing. Demands of high temperature and high speed machinery require specialized bearings such as gas lubricated bearings which perform well under moderate loads under high temperature (>1000F) and speed (>50,000 rpm).Such demands require experience with high temperature alloys and high tolerance machining. Responsibilities include design of test rig components and bearing design.

Teaching Assistant for EMAE 480 Fatigue of Materials. Responsibilities including Grading of homework and conducting office hours for student questions and concerns.

Summer intern whose responsibilities included FEA modeling of ATM machine components and CAD drawings of parts. Designed brackets and other sheet metal components to house modules and provide structural support for ATM structures to withstand normal use and shipping. Sheet metal forming and machining process used to optimize strength and minimize material cost and weight.
