Ensured high equipment reliability and global consistency across the Titan 250 fleet, ensuring that the fleet met customers’ operating objectives. Managed globally dispersed team of Fleet Managers to ensure world class reliability for the program. Ensured adherence to certain strict fleet management guidelines and expedited all field related issues to prevent customer equipment failures. Enabled several repeat orders by major alliance customers as a result. Coordinated proactive response for sensitive data request to win major sales effort from main competitor, including customer information that required a substantial effort to ensure anonymity and confidentiality. Data corroborated marketing claim of having best in class thermal efficiency (main point of value for the customer). Initiated and performed financial analysis of program to obtain Executive Leadership buy-in of focusing program efforts to manage the commercial elements more effectively. Analysis led to process improvements aimed at improving conversion rate of expired T250 EHM contracts to traditional Long-Term Service Agreements.  Trained Titan 250 Fleet Managers with product-specific guidance to position them for success immediately upon transition (incl. multi-day workshop that focused on all differences between standard Solar engines and Titan 250).

Led communications between global support network; effectively processed both technical and commercial Solar Turbines product information.  Managed Major Oil & Gas Customer Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) to revive relations after it was determined that service quality was severely lacking. Efforts have since vastly improved relations to the point where Customer values the service as being irreplaceable, prompting LTSA support across their entire fleet. Coordinated Fleet Manager Training routinely to support field operations development of both current and aspiring Fleet Managers.

Leveraged experiences as Aftermarket Controls Design Engineer to evaluate installed packages, select and optimize equipment configuration (focus on control systems), and manage commercial/technical risks. Interacted closely with Engineering to ensure proper definition and accuracy for project scope of supply. Played key role in generating $20M+ in revenue by planning, developing, and executing technical/commercial strategies jointly with Customer Services Account Managers and a wide range of departments organization-wide. Relied upon as a Subject Matter Expert for control systems input into all Customer Services related product proposals. Appointed to manage controls training over 4 months for members of Solar Turbines’ Graduate Field Service Representative (FSR) Program (highly recruited engineers joined program directly out of college and received training on servicing Solar gas turbines). Executed over 30 control system retrofits for the Allen-Bradley Controllogix 1756 processor, with projects subsequently executed on Solar gas turbines worldwide.  Managed all aspects of Customer Services Controls Training segment of the FSR program, leading 10 trainees successfully through the program during 4-month tenure.  Directed 5 team members in project design reviews, maintaining accuracy of project scope definition.

Managed supply of materials required for overhauling all valves used on U.S. Navy ships. Supervised 3-member Part Procurement Team in the repair, overhaul, and testing of Navy shipboard valves to meet performance criteria supporting Pacific Fleet missions. - Reduced valve repair lead-time by 30 days through design of parts procurement process that is now used throughout the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center in San Diego. - Led identification and redistribution of $1 million in repair parts for use throughout the fleet, guiding team through a Lean process improvement event.

Hawaiian Islands

Directed preventive and corrective maintenance required in keeping the USS Greeneville ready for immediate deployment. Ensured mechanical proficiency in all watch stations to ensure ship propulsion. Maintained the Navy’s fast-attack submarine nuclear power plants during multiple deployments as well as annual government reactor testing. Inspected, tested, installed, and monitored fluid systems based on various specifications, including steam plant components and R-114 A/C plants. - Strengthened capabilities of team members through delivering training in the operation of primary and secondary systems used within naval nuclear power plants.
