My name is Knox Harter, I am the Cheesecake Darling.I'm a professional burlesque artist, dancer, actor, choreographer, instructor, director, producer, writer, and now an emerging event strategist. I'm a serial contractor with a diverse set of skills and experiences in a wide variety of industries, obtained mostly by the work I did just trying to make bills as a struggling performing artist. How do people fill that? Like, it feels dumb to list every single job I've done considering I can't remember two thirds of them because they were one-off contracts for a month of grocery money. Also, I'm positive that my performances doing sexy suggestive dancing in dive and punk bars isn't the work experience LinkedIn was thinking of when they built this platform. Come to think of it, most of my work experience in entertainment isn't what the programmers at LinkedIn had in mind when they thought of building the "Facebook for Business". Like, how does one turn "ass-end of a tap dancing unicorn" into an applicable skill employers are looking for? I guess strong team work and collaboration skills might work... That's real job I did by the way. Fresh out of theatre school. It was this 30 minute vaudeville style act for a street festival, and I was dating the straight man of the comedy duo at the time. What a way to treat your girlfriend, right? Tell her you'd love to have her in the act, and then stick her in the ass end of a horse costume rental from Malabar's and duct tape a paper horn to the front end.
