Due to the economic recession of 2008, we were forced to close our business in 2012. In seeking employment, I stumbled upon a competitor who stumbled upon me. It's been a wonderful opportunity and all the while I was seeking a solution for my customers. This opportunity has allowed me to continue to do what I like to do. I can take care of my long-standing customers, work in the industry that has allowed me an enormous amount of success, and also along the way, it's allowed me to expand my product knowledge to selling products related to Gas Fireplaces and every aspect associated with the development of outdoor living. I introduce customers to products from companies like R. H. Peterson, Firemagic and AOG as well as Blaze products. I work alongside other staff in the development of Summer Kitchens, and design of fire features, pergolas, and stone in the construction of every aspect of outdoor living spaces. I share my expertise and willingness to learn with the business owner who can appreciate my dedication to success and business.

I worked for Oreck Corporation from 1998 to 2002 as a salesperson, subsequently promoted to a Store Manager and Management Trainer. My husband Keith also worked for Oreck Corporation as a Manager, District Manager, and Regional Manager as well. We purchased our 1st Oreck Store in September 2002 in Melbourne, Florida. We later expanded to add additional stores in the Merritt Island and Palm Bay areas, and purchased an existing location in Tallahassee in 2007. Circumstances being what they were here in FL, we were unable to continue to maintain our business. The economic downturn, bank failures, as well as the housing market collapse in 2008 forced our business into undue stress. In 2010, our location suffered another setback when the Space Shuttle Program was being defunded and we were forced to close our business in 2012. We kept it going as long as we possibly could.

I worked as a Store Manager and Manager Trainer for Oreck Corporation for about 4 years before we decided to purchase our own store.

I worked with other Human Resources Personnel, District Managers, and Pharmacy Managers to provide HR services to employees of the Middle Atlantic Region of Eckerd Drug Corporation's stores. I provided information with regard to payroll, employee benefits management, as well as coordinating eligibility for benefits to employees in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. I was later promoted within the organization and worked as a Lead HR Coordinator overseeing other call center employees in the handling of employee benefits throughout the entire Eckerd Drug Company and their markets.
