Constantly being challenged and challenging myself, I am working primarily in new product development with some current production responsibilities. I have been through the complete development process for a flagship tractor model at Deere, I started with a white sheet and worked through to production launch and shipment to dealers and ultimately customers. I have the scars and awards to prove it.Some recognition of a job well done is receiving a silver medal innovation award at Agritechnica (VDI) for the hitch assist system in 2013, receiving an internal Deere Innovation Award for the hitch assist system in 2012.Some job highlights are below: Developed and implemented detailed and thorough specifications document to direct supplier Guide the engineering team in day to day engineering learning and development by sharing experiences Maintained ownership and successfully launched multiple complex designs of ~ 100 parts, driving designs through complete design process; white sheet to production launch. Designed, certified and tested Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) weldments Developed footpedal controls eliminating need for factory mechanical calibration and increasing reliability at same cost as existing design Developed team processes to improve drawing quality using Functional Geometry Reviews Designed four wheel drive driveshaft, structural front frame weldment, and auxiliary hitch control Developed and sourced realistic prototypes to validate designs prior to releasing production tooling Managed positive relationships with employees in other functional areas (supply management, quality, manufacturing and testing) Managed multiple supplier system integration projects (Backhoe and front end loader)  Directed day to day work of direct report at John Deere Tech Center India  Integrated mistake proofing into simple robust designs  Challenged suppliers on cost and worked together to reduce part cost

While working at Cirrus, I learned about the importance of documentation, peer reviews and saw how a team that truly cares about the product can come together and create something awesome.
