Olympic, founded in 2014, was born from our passion for acrylate chemistry and with the goal of upending the pressure sensitive adhesive industry with innovative & high quality products at lower prices. At Olympic we spent 3 years fine-tuning and patenting our unique chemistry and production in our plant and laboratory in Venray, The Netherlands. In 2017, we successfully entered the market with our acrylic foam-, specialty- and thermal conductive tapes and pads, engaging with the main converters and distributors around the globe. The rapid growth and success of the Olympic did not remain unnoticed and in 2019 Olympic was officially acquired by CCL-Industries. The acquisition by CCL Industries, listed multination with 22.000 employees in over 200 locations, further accelerated our growth and our ability the serve a global market.As technical director and co-founder, I am responsible for development, production, technical customer support and IP within Olympic. After the acquisition of SolarExcel B.V. by DSM, I worked for DSM as a technology specialist. I was responsible for transferring SolarExcel’s knowledge to DSM and starting a program for a new production proces for making micro-textured polymeric coatings and films for optical management in Photovoltaic panels.

SolarExcel B.V. is a company that focuses on the development and production of an innovative micro-textured polymeric cover-sheet for PhotoVoltaic panels. This cover-sheet increases the performance and reduces the costs of Photovoltaic panels. As Chief Technology Officer and co-founder, I was responsible for all technical aspects of the company including R&D, production and IP. In March 2013 SolarExcel was acquired by DSM.

NeoDec is a spin-off company of the University of Technology Eindhoven. The company focuses on development and production of innovative low-cost solvent free inks for printing of flexible electronics. I was one of the co-founders of NeoDec and I was actively involved in its startup phase.
