As a long admirer of the silver screen I gravitate to spaces where I can weave words and photos together to tell a story. Through my work as a freelance photographer I‘ve been able to accomplish that while also meeting numerous talented individuals, capturing their uniqueness and giving them a voice. Throughout the duration of my academic career at CSULB, where I major in Public Relation and study Marketing as a minor, I’ve learned how to communicate to diverse sets of audiences and write persuasively to deliver key messages. It’s also where I was able to find Agency 241, a student-ran Public Relations firm. Here I worked alongside a group of five to refresh POP Eco Marketplace’s brand, a pre-loved clothing boutique with a focus on environmental consciousness. My position as the Creative Director was to create digital assets that were used across POP’s social channels. During my time at Agency 241 I created a lookbook that would be utilized to advertise POP’s fall 2022 fashion line and the San Dominguez Wetlands, a marsh with a fragile ecosystem.At CSULB I was also introduced to 22 West Radio, a student-ran radio station broadcasting from the bowels of the university student union building. This is where Heart Beats came into fruition, a radio show created by me. I write short scripts, promos, and curate playlists for live broadcast during Heart Beats' weekly airings. In the new year I look forward to adding interview segments from creatives I admire from around LA county.My latest endeavor was working as the photo/video editor at Dig En Espanol, a bilingual magazine publication with an emphasis on giving voice to Latinx individuals and cultures. My responsibilities here included covering events for both video and photo, editing, and providing creative direction through the production of various visual boards and writing. I also designed the team introduction page that can be found in the latest print issue for fall 2023. Moving forward I hope to break out from portraiture and expand into concert photography. Combining my passion for photography with my love for live music. Later contributing my work to publications such as Pitchfork and Complex. 💫 Fields I’m interested in: Production Assistance, A&R, Video Editing, Tour Press, Public Relations, Community Outreach, and Creative Direction.💫 What I'm doing when I don't have a camera in my hand: creating playlists, screen printing, going to concerts, or logging in reviews into Letterboxd.
