About Kobe Wright

Hi! I'm a Film and Video alumni who studied illustration and animation at Grand Valley State University. I also host KobeKartoons.com, a website portfolio featuring my artwork. I have a passion for developing characters, worlds, and stories. With my creative skills, I hope to create TV shows, children’s books, comics, and films featuring characters that I developed over the years. Creating art produces feelings of fulfillment and creative escapism, a feeling that I hope to bring to those who view my art.I'm also working towards fluency in Japanese after my 4 years of language studies at GVSU, and learn more about Japanese culture and society. In 2023, I studied abroad in Hikone through the Japan Center for Michigan Universities program. My passion for Japanese culture and the language, as well as my experiences abroad give me a strong incentive to live in Japan and work in there, as an artist, or any position that allows me to utilize both my Japanese and English proficiency.
