I have practiced in business transactions and ligation for 17 years including five years in leadership positions. I started as a corporate transactions attorney at a top Indianapolis law firm to assuming various positions thereafter requiring me to utilize very strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and business instincts. I served as in house counsel for 10 years for two major entities. At the City of Indianapolis, I ultimately was promoted by the Mayor as his attorney and top attorney for the city. At Cummins, I became an expert in mobile source emissions regulations developing and fostering relationships with regulars including negotiating the termination of two federal consent decrees at Cummins. I added value to the company in daily contractual negotiating and drafting and specifically developing strategy that led to a successful outcome in a 4 1/2 year long litigation battle resulting in $500 million in new sales for the company. I daily reviewed and drafted product labeling and marketing matters. In all my in house positions, I daily advised senior business leaders. Following an international reduction in force at Cummins in November 2012, I attended to familial health matters while undertaking contract negations and drafting matters. In April 2016 I joined Mayor Joe Hogsett's administration as Special Counsel for Economic Development to the Office of the Mayor, Indianapolis, IN and the Indianapolis Local Public Improvement Bond Bank.Past Interests have included:▪ Cellist since 1982▪ Fluent in Spanish and knowledge of Portuguese and Japanese▪ Former U.
