Energy Management Specialist | Production Planner | Project Manager
CurrentProgressing through various roles of increased leadership, I am currently the Energy Management Specialist over our production processes. On a daily basis, I measure, evaluate, recommend and follow through on energy-related solutions to make sure our operations are compliant and cost-effective. Additionally, I oversee the energy performance of our personnel in Refinery, Monomers, and Steam Leak Prevention. My leadership spans petrochemical plant energy management and process optimization, refinery operational expertise and inventory management.Within my earlier roles (see below), I played a key leadership role in 40+ projects aimed at improving our performance across various production-related metrics. Project classifications fell into many categories, including Personnel Projects, Process Feed Stream Projects, Utility Optimization Projects, Waste Minimization Projects, Process Improvement Projects and Research Projects.Key Achievements: - Administer self-built Excel-based Mathematical Regression models to save up to 9% of unit cost- Handpicked for special team tasked to drastically reduce and measure plant’s energy consumption- Achieve energy cost metrics of SYNFUELS’ consumption to below budgeted values by actively addressing Operational Energy issues- Team’s total savings equalling $70M per year- Earlier roles with Sasol included: Production Planning Fuel Specialist (2005 - 2008)Section Leader at Gas Water Cleaning (2003 - 2004)Logistics Manager (2001 - 2002)Optimisation Project Manager (1999 - 2000)
