I currently am pursuing my passion for video storytelling through short- and long-form documentaries. My latest project, in production, is "Z's Brain: One Last Option," about infantile epilepsy, and major brain surgery on babies and young children."Deadline Every Second: On assignment with 8 AP Photojournalists" was shown on multiple PBS stations in the US and on France's Canal 5. It was distributed internationally by 100% Distribution in France. "Revolution du Palais," about rosé wine, was distributed by Artline Films. "Who is Ida: Passing on the Kindness" has been featured in numerous film festivals, as was "Walk, Walk, Walk: The story of StandProud."My career started as a professor of photojournalism for newspapers and magazines. with the advent of digital video cameras, I introduced videojournalism to the curriculum. My book "Photojournalism: The Professionals' Approach," now in its 7th edition, remains the leading textbook in the field. I currently am revising the 2nd edition of "Videojournalism: Multimedia Storytelling," another leading seller. I co-authored the 7th and 8th editions of "Photography," the leading basic photography textbook.
