Processing procedures for operating and managing the Data Centre.Ensuring compliance of the Data Centre with all ICT governance rules and regulations and with all relevant local regulations. Producing and maintaining up-to-date documentation on the Data Centre Infrastructure. Providing support for the operations of the Data Centre by managing support contracts and ensuring the proper installation and configuration of computer hardware for reliable service and maintenance support and in conformance with manufacturer specifications. Diagnosing the cause for interruptions or other problems in the provision of services and as necessary, reconfigure hardware or work with maintenance contractors to implement substitute hardware. Operating and maintaining the Computer Centre environment systems including electrical power equipment, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment, fire detection and suppression equipment and electronic entry systems. Managing the provision of inter-rack network cabling inside the Data Centre.

Developing and executing Information Technology project plans, schedules, and technical resources required in order to successfully complete the projects.Ensuring consistent application of WAN and LAN policies, standards and procedures throughout the mission;Performing technical support activities, installation, configuration, test and deployment of network devices, hardware and software, and various security software, switches, routers, and firewalls used to support LAN and WAN; Collecting various statistics on the performance and reliability of Network Link Status, Servers, Switches and Routers and propose upgrade/replacements.Producing pertinent performance and evaluation reports Assisting in the Update, standardization and implementation of the disaster recovery and Quality Assurance plan and enforcing all network quality assurance procedures.Working as part of CITS duty roster responsible for emergency customer support calls after official working hours.
