TAF works toward the goal of racial equity in education by providing access to technology and educational opportunities to underprivileged communities, primarily students of color.I run the makerspace at TAF@Saghalie. Here, I teach students how to use 3D printers, Laser cutters, Arduino and other various tools. I encourage self directed learning by allowing students to utilize the space to freely create projects they want. I am an invaluable resource to teachers who bring classes to my room to include more hands on learning into their curriculum.

My position here as a machine operator meant that I was responsible for precision work on the manual lathe and occasionally the mill. During slow times, I was often expected to run many other machines including: blanking press, forming press, hydro form press, paint spray booth and CNC turning center.

Almost always managing the store alone, I needed to be able to balance both working the register assisting people dropping off and picking up clothes for dry cleaning while at the same time managing the connected laundromat. Remaining very observant to all people in the store was essential to keep everything running smoothly.
