I am a dedicated and proactive individual with a strong academic foundation, holding a diploma in Building Surveying with the ambition to build a strong career within the construction industry. A logical thinker, employing creative ideas to solve problems and developed a keen attention to detail over the course of my studies. I possess strong communication skills with an ability to nurture and establish strong working relationships with colleagues and fellow professionals.Throughout my university years, I have developed a good theoretical understanding of building pathology, construction technology, and project management. Over the course of my university tenure, I gained awareness into the discipline of Quantity Surveying, sparking an interest in the field. Furthermore, I am eager to transition into a career path in Commercial Management and decided that I have a natural aptitude which aligns most closely with the ‘Developer’ and ‘Main Contracting’ markets. Additionally, I took the initiative to undertake work experience at a Chartered Surveying Practice with a focus on delivering key services to the ‘Tier 1’ Contracting Market. During this time, I have gained valuable insights into the critical role Quantity Surveyors play in ensuring projects' financial success including, Procurement, Change Management, Contract Formation, Contract Administration, Cashflow Forecasting and Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) Reporting.Currently, I am looking for a Trainee QS role where I can blend real world experience with continued educational development as I undertakes a BSc in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management.
