I love tackling the challenges related to food systems, climate change and governance. Over the last 11 years, I have researched and engaged with policymakers on these topics in Belgium, South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Denmark and the Netherlands. My publications include academic articles, reports, blogs, and book chapters, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Some organisations I had the pleasure of working with include the European Commission, the United Nation’s Food and Agricultural Organization, various Ministries of Foreign Affairs of European Member States and African Ministries of Agriculture.At the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) I form part of the Sustainable Food Systems and Green Transition team. By using a systems approach to link food security, climate change and governance, and by organising multi-stakeholder meetings, we provide policymakers with the inputs to make better policies. Before ECDPM, I was a research fellow at the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Food Security and the Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation, South Africa, following my doctorate in Political Economy.As continuing education is essential in a rapid evolving world, I have updated my quantitative analytical skills in 2021 through a professional certificate in data science from Harvard University through EdX.
