The passion for computers started very early, during my education it became clear that the focus would be on networking. Hence my education as a system and network administrator.When finishing my studies the industry was testing the waters of virtualization on x86 hardware. As a system administrator at First Served (now Kinamo) I got the opportunity to research and build environments using virtualization platforms and quickly rolled onto high availability applications.When the moment came to expand the Kinamo network, the networking focus returned. Various migrations and datacenter moves later the Kinamo network looks very different from what the original First Served network was. Managing the network is a continuous effort as new challenges are always at the horizon.Meanwhile, as CTO, I help drawing out the direction of the Kinamo environment. This while always keeping our variety of customers with their needs in mind and backed by years of experience gathered by working in a highly flexible cloud environment.But networking remains the passion, also as a hobby.
