In the Spring of 2021, I graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. in Environment and Natural Resources with a specialization in Business and Sustainability. I spent my first post-grad year in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps where I served in vulnerable communities and ecosystems through various projects such as wildfire mitigation, fuel reduction, invasive species removal, food bank distribution, and urban gardening. In the fall of 2022, my professional journey began as a Natural Resource Specialist with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. By spring of 2023, I was promoted as a Natural Resource Specialist II and managed the Disinfection Byproduct (DBP) program. Through this role, my responsibilities included ensuring over 1,200 public water systems were compliant with EPA regulations, collaborating with engineers, driving stakeholder engagement, and analyzing data to protect Texas communities from environmental risks. In the summer of 2024, I began my role as a Product Sustainability Specialist with Smart EPD.

Additionally, twice a week different community centers would host produce distributions to which I would assist with unloading and bagging the produce for the community members. For a personal project, I created a flyer to put into these produce bags that provided the families with proper storing and disposing methods for their produce in order to reduce waste. -
Starbucks PartnerStarbucks Mar 2021 - May 2021Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan AreaStarbucks is a company that recognizes their impact and the importance of sustainability which is a leading reason as to why I wanted to become a Starbucks partner. I found their efforts towards sustainability to be inspiring and wanted to contribute in any way that I could. My specific location donated our accumulated coffee grounds to a local farmer as well as donating our food that wasn't sold to local food banks. I enjoyed the constant customer interaction and connecting with people from all types of backgrounds. -
Student LeadOxley'S By The Numbers Sep 2018 - May 2021Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan AreaAs a Student Lead at a university cafe, my main roles included training new employees, taking inventory of our products, and delegating the student employees to ensure efficiency amongst the cafe's function. Since the cafe's employment was limited to OSU students, there was a high turnover rate of employees due to employees graduating and incoming freshmen. Therefore, training new employees was a frequent task and allowed me to grow within the company. I also noticed that the cafe was producing a significant amount of plastic waste so I took it upon myself to reach out to our suppliers and find more sustainable options for our cups and straws. I was then able to convince the higher management to switch our cafe from plastic to paper straws.

Sustainability Consulting InternPauchamama Jun 2020 - Aug 2020Santiago Metropolitan Region, ChilePauchamama is an environmental consulting company that provides its clients with inexpensive, zero-waste products and lifestyle practices. Through interning with this company, my objectives were to create a community outreach business plan, design social media content to promote the company, as well as continuously search for international funding and/or grant opportunities. Through my business plan, I presented how the company can fiscally hire 30 women in the local Conchalí community to locally source material for the company's products. I then developed 10 social media posts in Spanish that promoted zero-waste concepts, practices and inspiration for the community. I discovered 3 international funding opportunities to assist in the funding of the business plan as well as finance the growth of the company.
