I am currently a senior attending Indiana State University. When I first enrolled at ISU I was a pre-medical student and completed some classes in the medical field. I decided to change my major to fashion once I realized that I didn’t want to be in school for many years to be a surgeon. I switched my major to Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising. I am expected to graduate in May of 2018.I have experience in both the health care field and retail field, but I have the most experience in health care. I work at ResCare which is a home health care job. I am a direct support provider which means I attend to the care of my 8 elderly clients. My job consists of many different things from giving my clients showers to passing medicine. All of my work is that of a CAN, but without the certificate. I have adapted many different skills at my job. Not just at ResCare but at all of my jobs. I have had to adapt different ways to communicate with my clients because they all have their own unique way of communicating. I have developed many different relationship skill dealing with retail and/or consumers and in health care.
