This quote by the former Prime Minister of the UK has always been my motivating factor in life. As an individual with passion and tenacity, I strive to be better and take any challenges in stride. I believe that these apparent setbacks act as trampolines, giving me a chance to bounce back higher and further. Even though I have yet to secure an internship experience, I have the experience of working as a part-time auditor who is mainly in charge of handling internal and grant audits. This experience has certainly strengthened my soft skills as well as provided me insights into this specific industry. Coming from a Junior College background with no technical knowledge, I was able to overcome the challenges and adapt to my work quickly. I am also actively engaged in community service projects be it among the local community or in an overseas setting. These experiences has definitely instilled in me the importance of compassion and team spirit when working and conceptualising projects with other members. From children welfare projects to befriending programmes with elderly residents, these exposures have made me a strong team player who is comfortable with collaborating in a team setting and believes in contributing to a positive team culture. Being part of the many co-curricular activities such as the Badminton sports team, service and academic clubs were instrumental in shaping my character as well.
