Responsible for investment management on Mitsu’s Australian coal assets.

I am responsible for trading of metallurgical coal mainly to Japanese steel mills and other Asian steel mills including India. I have close contact with Australian, Canadian, US, Indonesian and Russian coal supplier as well. The new area currently looking closely on is Mozambique and Mongolia.

I was responsible for our coal J/V with Anglo American. We have 4 coal assets at Queensland, New South Wales in Australia with Anglo American. My main mission was to improve value of our JV asset. Apart from management of JV asset in Australia, I was heavily involved in marketing coal from our equity to Japanese power utilities and steel mill and achieved improving value in sales.

I was responsible for findiing opportunities to invest in ferrous raw materials such as Manganese ore, ferro-alloy, copper, Uranium, Coal and so on covering EMEA (Europe, Middle East, African) region. Iwas heavily involved in development of Manganese ore business in Burkina Faso (Just north of Ivory Coast) and Hot Briquetted Iron project in Oman. I was responsible for liquidating Mitsui's subsidiary focused on trading of Aluminium and Copper. I have completed liquidating the company.

1. I was in charge of Aluminium business for Toyota and Toyota group company and learned Toyota way and just in time delivery system which was a valuable experience for me then.2. I also had an opportunity to create new business to deliver Aluminium ingot to produce car engine at Toyota India plant in Bangalore, India.
