I tracked department needs, identified and tracked funding opportunities that could help fill gaps in services and infrastructure, completed budgets, wrote narratives, analyzed and tracked community data, identified economic development opportunities, completed internal feasibility studies, managed 5 grants and their program reporting & budgets, wrote RFPS and agreements, launched a new tribal website, and launched a community alert system. In 2.5 years, 23 of my grant proposals were awarded, bringing in $7.7 million to the community for programs, 3 new buildings, and 2 building renovations.

I was responsible for managing the business operations of the MHA Keystone Center and improving office efficiency through facilitation of value stream improvement initiatives, design and maintenance of electronic filing and tracking systems, monitoring of department contracts and expenses, and streamlined communication with other MHA divisions. Planning and facilitation of department staff meetings and trainings were required to help achieve department goals and operational objectives and ensure compliance with federal contract and certification requirements

MHA Keystone Center is the Patient Safety and Quality Department of MHA. I worked on the national projects specifically which include On the CUSP: Stop CAUTI (with HRET/AHA) and CUSP 4 MVP-VAP (with the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute). For each project the MHA Keystone Center and the primary contractor work together as the national project teams for project planning and management of these quality improvement projects. We support and guide SHAs/QIOs/QINs/HENs and hospitals in preventing hospital associated conditions. Catheter-associated urinary tract infections and protecting mechanically ventilated patients (VAEs, Early Mobility) are areas of harm that the national project team has teamed up to tackle.

MHA Keystone Center Project Assistant for: National On the CUSP: Stop CAUTI & CLABSI, and for Keystone: ICU (CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP/VAE, Sedation/Delirium, Early Mobility) and Sepsis. MHA Keystone was created by Michigan hospitals to improve patient safety and reduce costs by enhancing the quality of care delivered.

Relief LVT in a fast paced, high traffic, 24 hour emergency and teaching hospital (NCU, CCU), all medical LVT duties

Fast paced, high traffic, 24 hour emergency hospital. This required knowledge of all medical LVT duties. Other responsibilities included providing technical training for LVTs, creating intracompany quizzes (e.g. medical drug calculations), and designing protocol posters/signs.

I was responsible for coordinating energy development, vertical, and tenant improvement projects by routing information between the project managers, owner, stake holders, subcontractors, remote work sites, and administration departments. I was responsible for office procedures, remote site logistics, expense reports, HR administration, and accounts receivable/payable processing. Additionally, I held recording secretary responsibilities for board meetings and provided project team support. I maintained the online ISNetworld safety, assembled and submitted the company application for SBA certifications, supervised temporary office employees, and coordinated website development and maintenance.

I quickly took advantage of an opening as a student assistant to LVTs and DVMs at Michigan State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. I absorbed as much knowledge and wisdom as I could in a leading Oncology department and an advanced emergency and critical care department. It was here my eagerness to teach and improve healthcare culture developed.
