My responsibilities as a Vehicle Dynamics Intern included assisting technicians in instrumenting and debugging vehicles for various automated road tests. I also wrote several MatLab scripts for post-processing and analyzing experimental results.

Developed proof-of-concept prototypes for automating contact lens and fuel cell assembly processes. Designed, built, and integrated hardware with industrial SCARA robots to demonstrate process improvements.

During the spring and summer of my junior year I worked on co-op at the Exxon Mobil Beaumont Refinery in Beaumont, TX. I completed seven projects (up to $1.4 million) in the refinery which helped improve plant safety and efficiency. My position was similar to that of a Mechanical Process Engineer; I worked closely with company engineers, union employees, and contractors.
