As the Founder and Studio Lead of KokoTEN | Studio, I am dedicated to developing art in Tanzania and promoting it to the world, particularly the Global South, through printmaking. My works explore contemporary issues, including consumer culture and society, and range from intimate gallery pieces to large outdoor public installations. The exhibition showcased a collection of photographs that captured the beauty and diversity of Africa while highlighting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each photograph was accompanied by a brief description highlighting the SDG it represented. The exhibition was a huge success, attracting visitors from all over Tanzania and beyond, particularly young people who were inspired by the photographs and the message they conveyed. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to raising awareness about the SDGs at the National Museum of Tanzania. -
