Managing the R&D department for one of the largest content sites in Israel (Ranked #3). Nana 10 is co-owned by Netvision and Channel 10. I managed the in-house R&D and the turned-key projects with external companies. The R&D consisted of two teams. On each team there were designers, developers, testers and DBAs. Overall, there were 15 personals in the in-house R&D department.The R&D focused mainly on Microsoft technologies including .NET 3.5, Silverlight 2.0-3.0, ASP.NET, ASP, WCF, WinForms, WPF, Workflow, Team System and etc. In addition, we had some projects in PHP, J2EE and Flash and Adobe Air. I implemented Agile / SCRUM methodology using Microsoft Team System as a supporting tool for agile practices, such as Unit Testing, Continues Integration, Backlog and etc.I insured the code quality, performance, scalability of the site.I managed the R&D with a stiff time limitations and budgets.The R&D built a CMS (Content Management System) application, Blog application, Forums application, Chat application, Talker application (The Israeli Twitter), Games (using Flash & Silverlight), Flash Player and etc.
