I am looking for the opportunity to learn more valuable sales and marketing skills through an internship or full-time position. I have worked, interned, and volunteered in many different industries and have experience in many different areas from retail to event planning. Each experience was different and I obtained various skills and learned different lessons at each. I first found the marketing industry attractive while I was a groundskeeper at a multi-event facility. I eventually worked my way up the ladder and had an internship at the same facility. During my internship, I developed a love for working and collaborating with other people in order to better myself, my work, and the work of those around me. I currently work retail where I learn a new lesson every day. Retail is not centered around customer service or selling the customer your product. An individual has to be trustworthy, understanding and has to be able to adapt to any given situation. I have learned many different methods of problem solving and communication when it comes to customers. I have come to love working retail and the relationships that have been born during my time in sales. I have enjoyed my time in school and look forward to furthering my education in an internship or entry-level position in the future.
