Sitation is a growing leader in the PIM and Retail Data Management space. I was brought in to take over and formalize the IT efforts that had grown out of the work they were selling as well as to formalize and implement an information security program. While there, I authored and implemented many security policies including Data Governance, Protection, and Backup, Password/MFA, Remote Access, Website Privacy, and more. Policies were based on the CIS Critical Controls, which has also guided the deployment of security controls to improve the overall security posture. I also answered client security audits and My efforts helped in the effort to add new clients. The infrastructure was cloud-based, so I worked to implement SSO, as well as unified groups and user management. This also allowed us to better implement need-to-know for many projects as well as leveraging the security built into the M365 platform. I spearheaded a project to roll out a password manager, and efforts included weekly tips to help drive adoption. I also created and ran a bi-weekly IT Office Hours Zoom room, where anyone could drop in and ask any IT or Security related questions they have, which helped me to get to know the firm better.

Jackson Walker is a top corporate law firm in Texas with a global reach. During my time with them, I worked closely with a very knowledgeable team and gtt hands on with a variety of different technologies. Systems Support prepared me to take on the challenges of the Information Security Analyst position. In this role, I was a responsible for maintaining all of the security software used by the firm, which includes Desktop Encryption, DLP, and File and Removable Media Protection, Palo Alto Firewalls, UBA, and SEIM. This includes updating, troubleshooting, threat hunting, and tuning of all these products. At the end of last year, I led a project to replace our existing anti-malware solution. I also help with client security audits and training users on how to stay safe. I was responsible for running quarterly phishing tests for our entire user base, as well as helping to develop and present our annual Security Awareness Training. We had a variety of practice groups that worked with many different companies such as large banks and hospitals with various regulations that we worked closely with to make sure we were providing the level of security they needed.

As a Systems Support Specialist, I worked to make sure that the hardware our in our users hands worked well and helped them get their job done as efficiently as possible. I assisted with the roll-out of Windows 10 across the firm, including planning and testing for the roll-out, migration of users profiles and data, and the imaging and configuration of hundreds of user devices. Following the roll-out, I was responsible for troubleshooting and quickly fixing unexpected issues. After that project, we migrated all of the attorneys from several generations of laptops to Surface Pro devices. This project was particularly challenging as this is a different type of device than most people are accustomed to working with. We did everything we could to get them up and running as seamlessly as possible.As part of this role, I was made the Information Security Subject-matter expert. While working hand-in-hand with the Information Security team, I became the go-to person for security questions from my team. I did everything from diagnosing potential malware infections to getting hands-on with the software the firm uses to protect our assets.

NSAI is t world leader in petroleum consulting, a privately held, multimillion dollar business. They made the choice to hire me full time after five months as a consultant. I continue to maintain the Lync environment(described below), which was eventually expanded with external access for client meetings. I also take care of all computer issues for our employees so that they can provide the best service possible to our clients. When our department took over the companies Avaya phone system management from our services team, I began handling user administration and support of that system as well. I am responsible for Active Directory administration including user and group account creation and management, as well as troubleshooting user account and permissions issues. I have used VMWare vSphere and to manage ESX servers, and create new virtual machines and templates, both user desktops and servers, as well as managing the existing virtual machines. There are several Cisco-Tandberg video conference rooms in both offices that users often require assistance in, both with connection and system issues. I have some experience with our Dell Sonicwall firewall, including configuring new external services. I support several versions of Dell desktops and laptops, as well as Microsoft Surface Pro’s using Windows 7, 8.1, and 10. I also support several servers running Windows Server 2008 and 2012a

I was hired as a consultant for NSAI to take over both their help desk and some of the day to day administration across two offices. These jobs had been previously handled by the network and systems administrators, who needed more time to focus on moving both the Dallas and Houston offices the next year. I handled user submitted tickets and calls. A couple of months in, I was tasked with learning about and implementing an internal, on-premise deployment of Microsoft Lync 2013, a platform I was not familiar with. After a couple of days, I had the environment setup for testing, and it was deployed company wide a few weeks later.

I was hired by the chair of the computer science department to rebuild and maintain the department run network, as well as the departments computer labs. When I started, the current network had been pulled out, and I was responsible for setting up the new network equipment, including HP Procurve switches and routers, Debian and Windows 2008 servers, and a public IP space. I worked closely with the campus network administrator so that the student programming lab had access to the campus' high speed Internet connection, while the servers and networking lab had access to the department's T1 connection.

While on the wiring crew, I was responsible for running and terminating both Ethernet and Fiber Optic cables in and between various campus buildings. I also installed and configured new switches in the network environment, as one of the only student workers with full access to the network switches. I would often have to make decisions about the best path to run a cable through a building, as well as communicate with other departments when we needed extra resources or guidance on building codes.

Working for the campus media department, I ran sound for events in our campus auditoriums, as well as at the local church. I would often design custom setups for rooms and outdoor events that did not have permanent sound and projections systems in place. As supervisor, I was also responsible for making sure that my team got events set up with time for sound checks and that everything went smooth
