System administrator / BOFH, specialized in Unix environments (linux &freebsd).On the OS side, tons of work in FreeBSD and Linux (CentOS/Red Hat, Debian...) , basic Windows 2003 & 2008 maintenance (mostly in web environments: IIS + SQL Server), Mac OS X user since Tiger, and some ancient Solaris knowledge.I found myself comfortable around Python, PHP, Bash Scripting, basic web stuff like HTML and vanilla javascript. Django is my go-to framework and have done tons of internal backend (and some frontend) APIs with it. All the development using git (previously subversion) and with CI/CD where possible (and since last year, I also make tests).I know my way around Apache or nginx, and can make work a MySQL server pretty hard. PostgreSQL is no stranger to me neither. All of this properly automated with Puppet/Foreman (and a pinch of Ansible here and there).Also I have spent the last years fighting in the VoIP world with Kamalio, Asterisk and FreeSWITCH. Countless hours reading RFC3261 and looking at call flows. Cisco SPA, Yealink, Snom and Gigaset are some vendors who I worked with.I can do basic network configuration in Cisco, Juniper and Fortigate hardware.My knowledge in virtualization systems lies in Xen/XCP-NG, but I can do basic tasks in VMWare.I am open source enthusiast, always trying to learn cutting-edge technologies, currently I'm trying to wrap my head around Kubernetes after using Docker for a couple of years now.Also, I make my own beer.
