Kurt is a seasoned educational technology specialist with over 15 years of experience in technology integration, audio-visual systems, videography, and photography within the education sector. His passion for merging technology and education began in 2009 when he took on the role of Technology Assistant at Gompers Preparatory Academy. Demonstrating his leadership and technical expertise, Kurt quickly advanced to become the Lead of the Office of Technology and Innovation, where he spearheaded initiatives to enhance digital learning experiences.In 2018, Kurt joined Health Sciences High and Middle College as Technology Coordinator, managing the school's technology infrastructure while completing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Technology. His commitment to professional growth continued with the completion of a Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Credential in 2021, followed by earning recognition as an Apple Certified Learning Coach in 2022.In 2022, Kurt accepted the role of IT Director at High Tech High, overseeing technology operations for five schools at the Point Loma campus. His responsibilities extend across four campuses and 16 schools, driving district-wide initiatives to enhance the integration of technology in education.A lifelong learner, Kurt is continually refining his skills, always exploring innovative ways to apply technology to elevate the educational experience for students and staff alike.
