As an intervention specialist in the public school system, I help behaviorally maladapted youth develop the skills and emotional tools necessary to cope with stressors in appropriate ways, as outlined in the individual clients' IEP and as approved by Medicaid. Outside of the classroom, I provide occasional one-on-one mentoring and community-based rehab services (CBRS) for the Priestley Mental Health clinic.

This required 10-15 hours of teaching per week, both individual tutoring and small-group sessions.

Creatively collaborating with two other screenwriters, our team of three has been hired to work on several film projects for the university, community, and other clients: 7 AV scripts, 26 business and educational videos (including 2 miniseries), 2 short films, an in-depth feature-film proposal and outline, a feature-length legacy piece, and a feature film, and voice-over work for live events.

In total, I have typed just under 1,000 complete transcripts and captioned approximately over 800 videos.

As an intern foreign-language English teacher in China, responsibilities included planning and professional delivery of 22 full-classroom English classes a week, with each class averaging 50 students per session. The ages of students ranged from kindergarten (4 years old) to adult night-classes. Other responsibilities included preparing and presenting teaching material at weekly staff training meetings; communicating through a foreign language to students, parents, community members, and education professionals; and occasional volunteer trips to teach free classes in local villages throughout Shandong Province.

I enjoyed my position as a library media specialist and educator at Oakwood Elementary School in Preston, Idaho, and spent time outside of work to certify as a librarian through the Idaho Commission for Libraries. As the sole librarian of a 20,000-book school library, responsibilities included collection development and maintenance, teaching 5 to 6 classes of approximately 20 third through fifth graders each day, and managing the library's yearly budget. I was also particularly familiar with American literature awards (for example, memorizing the list of the American Library Association's Newbery Medal winners and runners up, from the present back to the award's beginning in 1922).

As an entry-level behaviorist working under specialists at Franklin County Medical Center, my responsibilities included writing, maintaining, and updating behavior programs for developmentally disabled clients, working in both clinical and community settings. I later took these skills to public education, where I worked as a paraeducator in a special needs classroom and, for a two-month period, was the elementary school's replacement full-time SPED teacher.
