The Q Project — using evidence betterThe Q Project is an Australian first. It investigates how research evidence is used in schools, and how to support educators to better use that evidence in their practice.Key responsibilities include, to:- Undertake a range of high-level project coordination duties, drawing from project managementmethodologies, including: working with stakeholders to scope and plan project deliverables, monitoring and reporting against budget, timeframes and other performance indicators, managing a schedule of project meetings and planning and implementing change management strategies- Provide support to senior management, planning and working groups in relation to the area of specialisation- Act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert in relation to project progress and objectives in accordance with University policies, procedures and strategic priorities- Coordinate a work environment of continuous review and improvement of business practices, operational processes and service provision- Undertake research, consultation, data analysis and benchmarking to keep across and report on emerging issues and provide advice to support business decision-making- Prepare high-quality documentation including papers, presentations, proposals, communications, briefings, policies and strategies for a variety of audiences- Identify and report on risks to projects and implement risk mitigation strategies- Build and sustain partnerships and networks with other business units, functional areas, internal and external stakeholders, including contributing to projects and cross-functional initiatives

STATE-WIDE PROJECT LEAD – DOCTORS IN SECONDARY SCHOOL PROGRAM- Provided best practice project management support to six PHNs in implementing the program- Developed and implemented tools to aid project planning and budget monitoring- Developed policy advice in consultation with PHNs and academic partners on complex policy issues for state government consideration- Developed project reports, briefs, conference submissions and concept briefs- Promoted collaborative working and innovative thinking to improve service integration- Lead change management as the program evolved - Developed and maintained relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including government institutes, academic partners and other organisations.RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS- Analysed training needs of prescribers and dispensers for Real Time Prescription Monitoring System (Safe Script). My responsibilities were to provide administrative and technical support to international consultants for the successful execution of the projects in country and serve as the budget monitor for the sub-contract.- Prepared memorandum of understanding, case studies, research briefs and technical write-ups.- Developed strategic presentations for Country Director and Project Director Support.- Organized donor review meetings and other events hosted by the organization.- Replied to email inquiries and acted as a main point of contact for all external stakeholder correspondence.SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:1. Authored a case study titled as, ‘SURAJ - Ensuring Access to the Poor in Rural Pakistan’ published in book, ‘Social Marketing and Public Health: Theory and Practice, Second Edition’ edited by Jeff French. 2. Provided key strategic ownership and project management of sub-contract between MSS and Options Consultancy Services. It was successfully completed with more than 15 projects and four long term consultancies over a period of three years.3. Served as member of conference secretariat organizing a conference session titled as ‘Partnership for Impact: What the Public, Private and Nonprofit sector offer’ co-hosted by Marie Stopes Society and Population Association of Pakistan. 4. Designed and facilitated implementation of a pilot project, ‘Developing Reproductive Health Networks’ in rural districts of Pakistan.

Also forecasted and managed its budgets.- Participated in development, implementation and monitoring of organization’s Behaviour ChangeCommunication Strategy, titled as IRADA: Improving Reproductive Health through Awareness, Decision and Action, as one of its co-investigators.- Prepared research manuscripts, protocols, briefs and abstracts for conferences.- Assisted in development of resource material for field health educators and communication material for donors and external stakeholders. - Presented research conducted by the project at multiple forums and conferences.SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS: 1. Served as member of the conference secretariat for the First National Conference on Social Franchising held in Bhurban, Islamabad in August 2014. The event successfully brought together experts from public and private health sector both locally and internationally. 2. Submitted abstracts and prepared the presentations of same for Second Global Conference for Social Franchising held in Cebu, Philippines in October 2014. Also prepared presentation for organization to participate in Lightening Presentation Competition. The presentation won first prize. Though it was presented by my supervisor, I was awarded with the conference prize as an appreciation of my efforts.3. Acted as a liaison for a Baseline Survey outsourced to a private company. The survey sampled 8,960 participants from three intervention and one control arm. 4. Experienced development and rollout of organization’s Behaviour Change Communication strategy as being one of the co-investigators.

- Planned and prioritized the research activities as required by the supervisor- Analysed and interpreted the results of techniques performed- Developed research reports on quarterly basis and presented it to the supervisorSELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS: 1. Identified the location of genes responsible for luminescence and designed primers for the specified genes.2. Constructed clones of Lux operon genes of vibrio chagasii bacterium also using metal resistant genes from other strains.3. Submitted a unique strain of vibrio chagasii bacterium in NCBI Genbank.
