A trauma informed, queer affirmative counsellor and therapist with 7+ years of experience. An MSc counselling psychology graduate from Christ University, Bangalore. Have worked with 2 mental health startups, one focusing on providing relationship Counselling to individuals and couples wherein I was the first and only full time counsellor, working in the capacity of a counsellor, a data analyst, a content creator, digital marketer, quality control, HR role, subject matter expert, essentially all roles apart from app development and raising funding for the start up. While it indeed was an overwhelming experience and one might say multiple roles for which I might have been too young, it added un-measureable exposure and experience to my professional self.Upon the startup's dissolve, my second experience was working under the esteemed Dr. Shyam Bhatt in his venture, Seraniti for a collaborative project, Mind.fit for Cult fit. While it was a short tenure before the start up was acquired, supervision under Dr. Bhatt was profound to say the least.Currently, I continue to grow from a budding counsellor who joined a well established EAP in the country, to growing into an affiliate manager, part of training development department, senior counsellor, supervisor, to now heading the Quality control and impact assessment department at 1to1help.net.In a nutshell, my theraputic approach is an eclectic one wherein with an underlying PCT approach, I use concepts and interventions from various therapy modles (positive psychology, CBT, REBT, DBT, narrative therapy, ACT, gestalt, behaviour therapy, cognitive therapy) with an aim to create a safe space to address and process client experiences and enable them to navigate via a strength based approach.
