Professor Lukasz Komsta is currently a full professor in Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Lublin (Lublin, Poland). His main scientific interest is the theory and application of liquid chromatography, especially in connection with computational chemistry, drug chemistry and chemometrics. Another scientific interest is application of chromatographic methods (especially thin layer chromatography) in the analysis of drugs. He had several stays in Department of Chemometrics of Silesian University as a member of the team of Prof. Beata Walczak and Prof. Michal Daszykowski.He is author or coauthor of more than 100 scientific papers, member of Editorial Board of “Acta Chromatographica”, section editor of “Current Issues in Pharmacy and Medical Sciences” and guest editor of several special issues of scientific journals. He has co-edited (with Monika Waksmundzka-Hajnos and Joseph Sherma) the book "Thin layer chromatography in drug analysis" published in Chromatographic Science Series and "Chemometrics in chromatography (with Yvan Vander Heyden and Joseph sherma), also published there.Member of Polish Pharmaceutical Society (PTFarm), Polish Chemical Society (PTChem), Polish Amateur Radio Union (PZK), Polish Botanical Society (PTB), Polish Informatic Society (PTI), Polish Pharmacological Society (PTFarmakol), Chemometrics team of Analytical Chemistry Commitee of Polish Academy of Sciences, Scientific Commitee of Szczyrk Symposia Series.
