• A chartered engineer, with over 20 years extensive experience of offshore and onshore engineering, project leader, team leader, sub-supplier follow up, strength calculations, fatigue calculations, transport and installation work. This includes sub-sea (protection structures, riser supports), top-side (umbilical hang off, turbine exhaust support), land (fish farm tanks), marine (hull and superstructures) and aeronautical (missile parts, missile systems and F-16 flying test equipment).• Project leader for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. Technical, HR and cost responsibilities.• Calculation specialist on steel, aluminium and composite structures with analytical and numerical tools (FEM). Documentation on the structural integrity of structures with regard to static, dynamic and fatigue strength against standards and project specific requirements. Experience with DNV, NORSOK and other standards. • Aerodynamic and hydrodynamic analyses with analytical and numerical methods. Experience with the CFD method to obtain flow induced loads and to minimize such loads.• Extensive experience with FEM and CFD calculations with ANSYS (FEM), Catia (FEM), NISA II (FEM), OpenFOAM (CFD), ANSYS CFX (CFD).• Skilled problem solver with positive attitude and demonstrated ability to conceptualize solutions to difficult situations employing practical cost-effective engineering strategies. Resourceful problem solver with an ability to grasp the whole picture and with a thorough attention to detail.• Computer literate, Windows and some Unix (Ubuntu). 3D design with SolidWorks, Catia, Rhino3D and Inventor.• A genuine interest in technical “stuff”.
