Developed a mathematical model to forecast gas and water production from Coal Bed Methane wells, using MATLAB ( Curve Fitting Toolbox).Observed and understood drilling, coring, laboratory process of gas desorption, all activities pertaining to Coal Bed Methane production.

Studied Diopside – Anorthite binary system at 20Kbar pressure and variable temperature in the presence of excess water. The main objective was to simulate a condition for partial melting of gabbro (generally found at 60km depth and 20Kbar pressure) in the presence of water. The study was done by constructing phase diagram with Diopside and Anorthite as the end members and observing the probable shift of the eutectic as predicted by Yoder. It involved sample preparation (data points for the experiment), study of high pressure and temperature apparatus, and identification and characterization of phases under polarizing microscope.
