Konstantin Lanin is head of the regional representative office in Moscow and director of sales of Hughes Network Systems, LLC in Russia and the NIS Region. He is responsible for the development of Hughes business in the region, encompassing marketing and sales of all Hughes VSAT satellite systems and solutions. Mr. Lanin joined Hughes in 1997, and has held positions as sales executive for VSAT products and as regional sales manager for Russia & CIS based in the Hughes Europe office in Frankfurt.Prior to Hughes, Mr. Lanin was sales executive, CIS Region with MAF Telecom, Dubai UAE, responsible for the marketing and sales of Inmarsat services and development of wireless trunking networks. He has also worked with the foreign trade firm, Sovkabel, in Moscow as senior sales engineer responsible for export and import of cable goods and machinery, and with MezhgorSviazStroj of the Russian Ministry of Communications as an engineer for multi-channel communications.Mr. Lanin is a graduate of the Moscow University of Telecommunications in 1986 and the Moscow Institute of International Business / Academy of Foreign Trade in 1991.
