Die Zusammenarbeit umfasst verschiedene Aspekte der Organisationsentwicklung, z.B. die Verbesserung interner und externen Kommunikationsstrukturen, Stärkung im Bereich der Projektentwicklung, Experteneinsätze, Unterstützung beim Ausbau des Netzwerkes/Kooperation und M&E.

Delegate/Project Manager for the project: Forecast based financing –a new finance mechanism for improved disaster prevention and preparedness in MozambiqueWhile climate science has made great progress in the projection of weather and climate information its uptake by local communities remains largely elusive. Activities for disaster preparedness based on forecasts are rarely existing in Mozambique, the communities receiving forecast information often do not understand it, as it is not produced “user-useful”. Through strategic partnerships at national and international level the project will support and develop an operational Forecased based Financing system to enhance humanitarian response capabilities at regional, national and local level. All involved actors will be trained respectively. Quality management, learning from experience and innovation will mark the project.

Elaboration of a pilot project proposal for German Federal Foreign Office (AA) on forecast based financing ∙ climate change adaptation (CCA) ∙ community based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) ∙ early warning ∙ NRM ∙ capacity building (CB) ∙ lead of a consortium with various partners, i.a. WHH, WFP, OCHA, Red Cross Climate Center.
