I have always been passionate about technology, robotics, electronics and everything related to them. For that, I blame Donald Duck comics, I was always reading them when I was young.. Well, I still read them, but that is not the point. In those comics there is this character Gyro Gearloose, which was my favorite character and I wanted to be like him. Inventing new, building robots and tinkering with machines. Well I haven't turned out exactly like him. At least not yet but who knows, maybe life will guide me getting there eventually. After comprehensive school I went to vocational school to become a automation assembler because it sounded good and was probably something I thought I had high motivation towards, because of all the robots and machines. It was pretty great and I gotta say that I enjoyed it. Couple of years after the graduation I had opportunity to go there again, but this time as a teacher. Went in and had a blast. During that time I thought that maybe I should go and study ICT, never had that urge before for studying ICT, always been good in it naturally and enjoyed doing stuff with computers, but not been thinking about studying it. Teaching office programs and basic website design, something clicked in my head and I started looking for more information and schools to suit my needs for this majestic craft. Ended up on school called Haaga-Helia website and decided to take my chances. Went to exam and got in. After that, and during that, I worked in several companies and offices. There was a brief moment of startup life and when that went down I took a job in a National Library of Finland where I was developing Finna. After a while, I decided that it is time to move on and I landed job in Karhu Helsinki working with several Drupal sites. Some years passed by and I briefly visited Generaxion, missed Karhu so went back there. Second stint lasted for almost two years and eventually got found out by recruiter for YLE and now my career is forming its next step here building journalistic tools, sweet!
