About Lukáš Kopčo
While studying in university, I also played competitive video games in my spare time outside of traditional sports. Seeing the form and professionalism of this 21st century phenomenon in Eastern countries, I was so impressed by it that I decided to direct all my efforts towards getting a job in this segment. I was successful in doing so, and over time, through volunteer positions in various esports organizations, I ended up working in the field of digital marketing for the Ostrava-based organization Cryptova. This is where I found out that the experience I gained by studying sports management and by working in sports clubs can be perfectly applied to an esports organization. Since then, I have been trying to incorporate sports principles into the established work processes, thus removing the barriers between sport and business.Although esport is not yet a completely known topic in our region, I can safely say that the management, marketing and coaching experience I have gained from three years of working in this environment can be easily applied to similar positions in any industry, especially due to its highly dynamic character.
