I yearn for diverse perspectives and the accurate representation of various backgrounds in media, excitedly anticipating the impact these narratives will have on audiences like myself, desiring to see themselves in the media they consume. My unique approach to writing is a subversion of the current. I write in the genre of real life. A genre in which being black, or of any background, isn’t reduced to a monolithic stereotype, and a colorful collage of characters exists outside of a mold. Characters are enabled to be unapologetically who they are in a space of other characters doing the same, raw and unfiltered. I intend to bring stories such as these to life through many forms of entertainment and media including Film, Television, and Video Games.I am a reliable, diligent, and resourceful junior in college with a passion for film, screenwriting, and interactive entertainment. I attend Loyola Marymount University as a screenwriting major and Interactive Gaming and Immersive Media minor with experience in editing, animation, production, stage management, and computer science. I'm a fast learner with a willingness to develop new skills. I am also proficient in management, cognitive reasoning, and effective communication. My best attribute is my creative and innovative mind!
