In my role I predict the impacts of stationary noise sources as well as road, rail, and aircraft noise.Day to day I find myself coordinating internally and externally with project teams, conducting field measurements, managing equipment, collecting, modelling and post-processing data and communicating the results of my analysis through technical reports that present the methodology, results and recommendations to clients and team members.

The Innovations Society operates a machine shop with faculty guidance (but not faculty intervention) for the benefit of the engineering student body and members actively seek out projects to work on as a team or as individuals.While I was president of GIS we embarked on many major projects which I personally managed, led or was a team member of. We collaborated with the Guelph Entrepreneurship Society to run a first-of-its-kind hybrid networking/competition event called the Gryphon's N.E.S.T. competition. This competition challenged interdisciplinary teams of students to solve a real-world problem. GIS also worked with a student run foodbank to design a Hydroponic Garden which would be housed in the foodbank's basement.
