As junior Acoustics, Noise and Vibrations engineer my role involves helping to resolve challenging noise and vibration problems for a wide variety of clients including industrial, institutional, and land developers. In my role I predict the impacts of stationary noise sources as well as road, rail, and aircraft noise.Day to day I find myself coordinating internally and externally with project teams, conducting field measurements, managing equipment, collecting, modelling and post-processing data and communicating the results of my analysis through technical reports that present the methodology, results and recommendations to clients and team members.

As President I was responsible for managing the activities and members of the society to achieve its vision of promoting an attitude of innovation within the school of engineering and the broader Guelph community.This includes organizing and running events, reaching out to guest speakers and acquiring equipment and other resources.The Guelph Innovations Society is comprised of highly motivated individuals interested in applying concepts and theories learned in class to real-world engineering applications in the interest of innovating new products and further developing engineering related skills. The Innovations Society operates a machine shop with faculty guidance (but not faculty intervention) for the benefit of the engineering student body and members actively seek out projects to work on as a team or as individuals.While I was president of GIS we embarked on many major projects which I personally managed, led or was a team member of. We collaborated with the Guelph Entrepreneurship Society to run a first-of-its-kind hybrid networking/competition event called the Gryphon's N.E.S.T. competition. This competition challenged interdisciplinary teams of students to solve a real-world problem. GIS also worked with a student run foodbank to design a Hydroponic Garden which would be housed in the foodbank's basement.

Focused studies on Biomechanical analysis techniques: recording motion with VICON camera systems, recording angular data with Goniometers, and recording muscle exertion with EMG sensors.Also studied designing for Biomechanical systems: Implants, Surgical tools, and Ergonomic tools.Capstone Project: Design and Manufacture a chamber to contain pressurized Argon gas in order to facilitate the function of a Workstation Hybrid Additive and Subtractive Platform (WHASP). The project was done to aid the research of Dr. Ibrahim Deiab and John Cloutier in the University of Guelph Advanced Manufacturing Lab.Studied business, engineering ethics and risk assessment and management and developed a strong sense of social responsibility.

I worked at CST Consultants over three consecutive summers from 2013 to 2015. During this time I:Evaluated Learning Matters Bursary applications based on academic performance, communication skills and financial need.Accurately and effectively managed and organized a database of RESP customers.Assessed and approved applications for the payout of Education Assistance Payments while being aware of fraudulent applications.Communicated via email with customers regarding the status of their CST Plans.Trained and mentored incoming summer students.Evaluated the undocumented schools to determine if students enrolled there could receive Education Assistance Payments as per Canada Revenue Agency regulations.
